A Driver Vehicle Inspection Report as required by D.O.T. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Checkout the Forms Library »
A Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) is a commericial vehicle inspection that must be completed daily by drivers. A DVIR is required by Federal Law (396.11, 396.13) and enforced by the US Department of Transportation.
A DVIR allows a driver to go through a detailed list of inspections to ensure the safety of the commercial vehicle each day. According to federal regulations 49 CFR 396.11 a pre and post inspection must be submitted, and the records maintained. If a DVIR is not filled out or the records are falsified could result in thousands of dollars in fines.
KPA EHS makes it easy for drivers to fill out and submit their daily DVIR reports. Drivers simply open the KPA EHS app, check the appropriate boxes and press "Submit". No need to fax documents or make unnecessary trips to the field office. Managers can be notified instantly if items are missing or if repair is required. Your organization can also modify the form to ask specific, company-related questions.
This form is a sample report which can be imported into your KPA EHS account. All forms including this one can be easily modified to fit your organization's policies and procedures.
